Large Antique 1890 Victorian Low Karat Gold Mixed Metals Old Cut Diamond Pendant

For your consideration this amazing large Victorian Era pendant that is hand fabricated in mixed metals including gold, silver, copper and tin. It is oval in shape measuring 2 1/2 inches long and 1 3/4 inches wide. It is slightly domed with a milgrained, decorative open design with bars radiating from the top containing bars of bead set old cut diamonds and single old cut diamonds in bezel settings. There are five, larger old cut diamonds which graduate in size to the center, prong set in buttercup settings. Small bead set old cut diamonds line the scalloped border. Suspending from the center is pendulum containing a large old cut diamond prong set in a butter cup setting topped with diamond set tiny leaf motifs and two, bezel set diamonds. The pendant is completed with a bow motif top contains additional bead set old cut diamonds. The total diamond weight is approximately 2.5ctw. Two concealed loops on the back of the piece are designed to accommodate a chain. It weighs exactly 20.8 grams. Gold content was tested with a Niton DXL spectral XRF precious metal tester. Presented in very good overall shows normal wear for age. (See magnified photos).
