Antique 18K Gold Platinum Plique A Jour Enamel Diamond Pearl St. Cecilia Pendant

For your consideration this eye-catching religious pendant featuring a lovely profile of St. Cecilia crafted in warm 18 karat yellow gold. The formally dressed woman appears to be playing a pipe organ and is set among colorful red and blue plique a jour enamel panels. The elaborate frame is crafted in platinum over gold, decorated with small rose cut diamonds with lustrous cultured pearls. St. Cecilia is regarded as the patroness of music, because she heard heavenly music in her heart when she was married and is represented in art with organ-pipes in her hand.

The pendant measures 1 1/8 inches high (excluding the bail), 15/16 inches wide. Pendant is unmarked but tests 18k & platinum with a total weight of 4.5 grams. Gold content was tested with a Niton DXL precious metal analyzer. Pendant is presented in very good overall condition, has some light scratching on front and back, as well as a light circular mark on the backside, shows normal wear for age. (See magnified photos.)
