Antique 10K Gold & Silver Art Deco Faux Tortoise Egyptian Revival Pocket Comb

For your consideration, this rare unique Art Deco Egyptian revival pocket comb that was professionally restored by Harriet Berman of Berman Fine Silverworks of San Mateo, California. The Lucite faux tortoise comb was manufactured in Switzerland and was riveted to the standard 925 silver top case. The front of the combs top case is enhanced with 10k gold hieroglyph inspired decorations. The bottom front of the silver comb features an Egyptian style bi-color head in profile. The gold decorations were originally cut by a jigsaw which would indicate that the comb is a one-of-a-kind piece.

The pocket comb measures approximately 3 1/2"L x 1 3/8"H and is comprised of 925 silver and 10K gold accents. Comb has a total weight of 45.1 grams. Metal content was tested with a Niton DXL spectral XRF precious metal analyzer. Comb has been professionally restored and is presented in very good overall condition, there is one small dimple to the front of the case, with normal wear for age. (Please see photos)
