For your consideration this lovely late 19th century 18K gold Swiss enamel Goddess Diana portrait rose cut diamond brooch pin. In typical classical design, inset with a black enamel pattern, the center oval enameled panel depicts the Roman Goddess of the hunt Diana. She has a floral motif wreath that is inset with three rose cut diamonds, as well as one inset in the shoulder fastening of her draped stola.
Brooch probably originates in Switzerland and dates from the 1880 period but could be a little later as these items were fashionable up to 1914. Brooch measures 1" in diameter and is unmarked but tested 18K with a total weight of 6.7 grams. Gold content was tested with a Niton DXL spectral XRF precious metal analyzer. Brooch is presented in very good overall condition with lovely vivid enamel colors, shows normal wear for age.
